Kevin Olivier grew up as a Roman Catholic yet first began to understand the gospel when reading the Heidelberg Catechism #39: "Is it significant that He was crucified instead of dying some other way? Yes. By this death I am convinced that He shouldered the curse which lay on me since death by crucifixion was cursed by God." See Gal 3:10-13.

Kevin graduated with a Bachelor of Science in occupational therapy from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 1999. In 2012 he completed his Masters of Divinity from Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Taylors, SC. He preached while working as a therapist until he was ordained as the pastor of Pineville Presbyterian Church in Pineville, LA on May 27th, 2022.
